Tom Schulze has worked as a photographer for more than 20 years. In this time he has refined his craft in the areas of travel, as well as classical contract photography for commercial, event agencies, fairs and theaters. Portraits and company documentaries are also part of his portfolio. His works have been published in countless books and magazines.
His assignments have led him to Serbia, Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo in the 1990’s, for picture books and travel publications he traveled in Germany, Bulgaria, Russia, Malta, Hungary, Romania, Sierra Leone, Ghana and Ethiopia.
In 2010/11 he spent three months on assignment in Namibia for Dumont-Reiseverlag, a travel publishing company. In October 2011, the new Dumont Picture Atlas of Namibia was published. Moreover, the company also published another photographic book on the topic in April 2012. In 2013 a book on "South Africa" was published, in 2015 on the island of "Malta".
Leipzig, Germany is his base, his sustenance and the starting point for his assignments and travels. Tom Schulze was born here in 1975. After receiving his apprenticeship diploma in 1997 he started immediately working as a freelance photographer.
